When the Forest Blooms: The 2026 Pride of Gesha Auction

Pride of Gesha 2026, our tenth auction, emerges as a quiet renaissance. The forest, in full bloom, whispers its evolving expression into every cup. Each harvest carries the memory of sun, mist, soil, and time, revealing new layers of depth and beauty.

With great honor, we present our carefully curated selection of exceptional coffee lots for this year’s auction. We dedicate special attention to our dark-room-dried coffees, each one a testament to patience, mystery, and the profound complexity that emerges from this season’s living landscape.

Dark Room Dried Lots

The Pride of Gesha 2026 includes 18 lots processed through our Dark Room Drying method. Ripe cherries are first placed on specially designed raised beds, where airflow and shade are carefully controlled to manage drying speed and protect the integrity of the fruit. This initial phase lasts up to 15 days.

Once the desired moisture level is reached, the coffee is transferred to a custom-built dark room. In this controlled environment, light exposure is eliminated, and the air dehumidifies the coffee, allowing for a slower, more stable drying phase over the following 10 days. This approach preserves the sugars and sweetness, and it enhances clarity and expression in the cup.

How does the auction operate, including rules and features?

Bidders must create an account and register for each auction in which they would like to participate. Sample sets are available for purchase for the auction. This auction has two main phases. Phase 1 is the open bidding period where the auction will not have a clock and bidders can place their initial bids. After 1 hour has passed, Phase 2 of the auction begins. In Phase 2, the clock will start and count down from 3 minutes. If a bid is placed during that 3 min period, then the clock will restart. If the time on the clock runs out (when there are 0 minutes and seconds remaining) before there is a new bid, the auction will end. When the auction ends, whoever has placed the last, highest bid on a particular lot wins that lot and is responsible for purchasing the entire lot.

Why is registration necessary, and what's the process behind it?

Registration is necessary to ensure that all bidders are capable of fulfilling their contractual obligations if they win a lot. Once you have created and signed into your account, you can request access to the auction. Your request will be pending until we approve it. We will manually approve or reject your request within 48 hours, and before the auction begins. If your request comes during the auction, we will do our best to approve you as fast as we can.

How can I start bidding?

Once your request for access is approved, you will be able to place a bid from the auction page, dashboard or the product pages. You simply just press "Bid" button, enter the amount you would like to bid, and press the "bid" button. Remember that your bid is based on US dollars per pound (USD$/lb).

How can I place an Auto-Bid?

Once your request for access is approved, you will be able to start bidding from the auction, dashboard or the product pages. You simply just press "Auto Bid", put in the amount you would like the platform to consider your highest possible bid as well as the bid step to be. If someone bids against you, the platform will bid automatically above their bid until your highest possible bid is no longer winning. Remember that your bid is based on US dollars and per pound.

How long does the auction last?

This auction will open at 7:00pm New York time Time on July 29, 2026. At this time, you can place bids or set your autobids. This open period will last for 1 hour. After that, the clock will start and count down until there is a new bid, which will then restart the clock to 3 minutes. If the time on the clock runs out (when there are 0 minutes and seconds remaining) before there is a new bid, the auction will end.

What if I win a lot?

If you win a lot, your registered name will appear next to the lot when the auction is officially closed. You will also receive a confirmation email (make sure to check your spam folder). Within this email, you will be introduced to the producer and their logistics team who will assist you with payment and logistics. All coffee must be paid for before it is shipped, and within 30 days of the auction's completion. All coffee is sold Free On Board (FOB) so you, the buyer, are responsible for all importation logistics.
